| The SA-9999 is a multiple data-format
multiplexer, allowing 12 channels of data to be transmitted simultaneously over a pair of
optical fibers. A complete system consist of two SA-9999’s interconnected by a fiber
optic cable. The SA-9999’s very low distortion characteristic allows limited
drop-and-insert operation. Each channel of data may be RS422, RS232, or TTL, operating
simplex or full duplex, asynchronously at data rates up to 57.6 kbaud. On any given data
channel, the data formats at either end of the link may be different, thus providing
automatic data format conversion. The unit operates over 62.5/125 µm multimode fiber or
8.3/125 µm single-mode fiber. |
