The repeater is a component that accomplishes (2) functions:
Extends the two (2) wire communication line
Expands communication controllers to accept
additional door units
The repeater occupies a space on the communication line, just like a door
unit. Each repeater extends the distance another 4,000 feet and supports additional door
units. Several repeaters may be added to a system.
