The communication controller model SA-1773 functions as interface between door units, alarm monitoring devices and the system computer. This component maintains communication with each device over the two (2) wire communication line or over fiber optic cable. The communication controller together door units and other communication components function as a stand-alone self-contained access control system, buffering 1000 transactions per door unit until the computer retrieves data.
