The MDS Airport System utilizes a Pentium based
computer/workstation operating under the Microsoft
Windows 2000/Windows XP operating environment. For
multi-user application, a network is utilized. Access Control Manager software,
communication controllers, door units, badge generating components and a card encoder
complete the system. The computer is used for alarm monitoring, programming, database
management of the system and extensive report generation. The system has the capability to
immediately invalidate user cards at all openings or at selected openings. Further, the
computer retrieves transactions from door units and stores the data on the internal
magnetic or optical media. |
